I forbindelse med utrullingen av macOS 10.15 Catalina trenger vi å gjøre en oppdatering av verktøyet «UiB Tools». Denne oppdateringen blir sendt ut i løpet av de nærmeste timene, og vil kreve en omstart av maskinen.
Verktøyet vil nå vises som «UiB Darkfuse» i systemdialoger, eksempelvis som vist i eksempelet under:
I tillegg til dette vil du måtte legge inn ditt UiB brukernavn og passord på nytt etter innlogging (en dialogboks vil bli presentert rett etter innlogging):
Brukernavnet og passordet lagres sikkert på MacOS nøkkelringen, og blir brukt til å koble opp UiB hjemmekataloger, samt pullprint utskrift.
For noen eldre versjoner/installasjoner av MacOS vil du også få en dialogboks hvor du må bekrefte at «UiB Darkfuse» skal få tilgang til filsystemet på maskinen.
Denne tilgangen trengs kun for å opprette og bruke de nye monteringspunktene:
/usr/local/darkfuse/brukernavn/unix /usr/local/darkfuse/brukernavn/win

You are receiving this e-mail because you have signed up to the e-mail list uib-mac at UoB.
Your machine will soon be prompted with an update (and restart) of the «UiB Tools» package. This update is necessary to get MacOS 10.15 Catalina support in «UiB Tools».
The «UiB Tools» will be presented as «UiB Darkfuse» in dialog boxes, as shown in the example:
I addition to this you will be prompted to enter your UoB username and password at next login (a dialogbox will open shortly after login):
Your username and password will be stored in your local keychain and are used to connect to your network homefolders and pullprint.
An additional dialog box, asking for permission to the filesystem, will be prompted for some earlier versions/installs of MacOS.
This filesystem access is needed to create and use the new mount points:
/usr/local/darkfuse/brukernavn/unix /usr/local/darkfuse/brukernavn/win
We now consider macOS 10.15 as ready for install.
