I forbindelse med det nye operativsystemet macOS 10.15 Catalina vil støtten for 32-bits programvare forsvinne.
Det vil si at om du er avhengig av 32-bits programvare kan du ikke oppgradere til macOS 10.15 Catalina før programvareleverandøren har lansert en ny 64-bits versjon av programvaren.
Her følger en oppskrift for å se hvilke programvare du har installert som er 32-bit.
• Oppe I høyre hjørnet trykker du på logoen, trykk «Option» knappen på tastaturet, og så på «Systeminformasjon».
• I venstremenyen velger du «Programvare» -> «Programmer».
• I listen som dukker opp er det en kolonne som heter «64-bit (Intel)». Trykk på denne for å sortere på 32/64-bit. Progmvare som er 32-bit har «Nei» i den aktuelle kolonnen.

Apple will be removing the ability to run 32-bit software in the new operating system macOS 10.15 Catalina.
This means if you use 32-bit software you can not upgrade to macOS 10.15 Catalina before your software vendor have released a new 64-bit version of the software.
How to check your Mac for 32-bit apps before considering an upgrade
• In the top left corner click on the logo, hold down the Option key on your keyboard, while holding it down, click on System Information…
• Scroll down on the left sidebar until you get down to Software. Expand the menu if necessary, and then tap the Applications option. It may take a few moments for it to load, especially if you have a ton of apps.
• Up top, there should be a menu option to sort by 64-Bit (Intel). Click on that, and you’ll now have a list of apps that aren’t 64-bit (that are 32-bit only). The 32-bit apps will be labeled No instead of Yes.
