«KRISTIN LAVRANSDATTER» For første gang kan du oppleve Kristin Lavransdatters fascinerende liv på scenen – som musikal. Skildringen av den lidenskapelige og forbudte kjærligheten mellom Kristin og hennes Erlend har berørt lesere i generasjoner. Nå vil et stort og mektig ensemble av skuespillere, sangere, musikere og dansere fortelle den gripende historien om kjærlighetens mange fasetter. Samtidig får vi innsikt i både middelalderens levesett, og indre og ytre konflikter som vi alle kjenner oss igjen i.
I denne forestillingen som spenner over fire tiår, følger vi Kristin og Erlends turbulente samliv, og opplever etter hvert Kristins kvaler over livsvalgene hun har tatt. Sigrid Undsets romantrilogi er kjent som et av verdenslitteraturens fineste kvinneportrett og bidro til at hun mottok Nobelprisen i litteratur i 1928. Svein Sturla Hungnes har dramatisert storverket til musikal, og musikken er komponert av Julian Berntzen, som også sto bak Hellemyrsfolket.

UiB has reserved 150 tickets on both Tuesday April 10th and Wednesday April 18th. The play starts at 19.00 on Store Scene. Tickets can be purchased for kr. 340 (ordinary price kr. 520), up to and including the 22nd of March.
For the first time ever, you get to see the fascinating life of Kristin Lavransdatter on stage – as a musical. The depiction of the passionate and forbidden love between Kristin and her Erlend has affected booklovers for generations. Now, a vast and powerful ensemble of actors, singers, musicians, and dancers tells the powerful story about the many facets of love. At the same time we gain insights of the medieval lifestyle, in addition to witnessing internal and external conflicts that we all can identify with.
In this play, spanning over four decades, we follow Kristin and Erlend’s turbulent relationship, a nd see the anguish Kristin feels over the decisions she has made. Sigrid Undset’s novel trilogy is known as one of the world’s finest female portraits, and contributed to her receiving the Nobel Prize in literature in 1928. Svein Sturla Hungnes has dramatized the trilogy into a musical, while the music has been composed by Julian Berntzen, who also composed the music for Hellemyrsfolket.
Kristin Lavransdatter is played by Nina Hammarklev on April 10th and by Herborg Kråkevik on April 18th.
