"Jeg maler ikke det jeg ser, men det jeg så" Edvard Munch
Edvard Munch er inspirasjonskilden til den spanske koreografen Marcos Morau i hans første helaften for Carte Blanche. Med utgangspunkt i Munchs liv, hans karakter og kunstverker finner Morau nye bilder og meninger, som han presenterer gjennom et svært oppfinnsomt bevegelsesspråk i et teatralsk miljø. Det er særlig Munchs tidlige møte med sykdom og død, og forholdet mellom disiplin og lidenskap som interesserer Morau. Han har plukket ut et knippe øyeblikk fra Munchs biografi og skaper ut i fra dette en ny sammenheng og nye perspektiver. Ved å endre perspektivet får publikum se livet på en annen måte, i en lek med motsetningene mellom det abstrakte og det konkrete.

"I don't paint what I see, but what I saw" Edvard Munch
Edvard Munch is the inspiration behind the Spanish choreographer Marcos Morau's first full evening performance with Carte Blanche. Based on Munch's life, his character and artwork, Morau finds new meanings and visions that he presents through a highly inventive movement vocabulary in a theatrical environment, emphasizing Munch's early experience of illnesses and death, and the relation between discipline and passion. Morau focuses on moments from Munch's biography, and based on these, he creates new relations and perspectives of life. By changing the perspective, the audience sees life from a different angle, in a game between differences in abstract and concrete matter.
