Natural language processing (NLP) is a rapidly growing field with applications in many of the technologies we use every day, from virtual assistants and spelling correction to machine translation. Start-ups, small firms with strong R&D profiles and large companies (Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft and, in France, Airbus, Thales, EDF, and Orange) are actively looking for scientists and engineers who can contribute to the development of systems capable of managing and exploiting textual data.

The Nancy NLP Master is a unique two-year MSc program which provides students with the skills and in-depth knowledge of NLP techniques that are in high demand in both industry and academia. The syllabus offers an interdisciplinary approach to the study of language, including Logic, linguistic theory, Speech Processing, Knowledge Representation as well as Symbolic, Statistical and Neural methods for NLP. In each semester, the program includes a hands-on project. The Master ends with a 6-month paid internship in a company or a research lab.
