An excellent opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary research team to work with real-world health data and directly contribute to the improved health of the wider community by developing and deploying text mining methods to unlock unstructured free-text data. Based in the Department of Computer Science, the post will be part of research team embedded within NHS, closely collaborating with industry to provide standards-based solutions.
The successful candidate would have excellent understanding of and experience of the state-of-the-art NLP and preferably some experience in using knowledge resources (terminologies, ontologies, knowledge graphs) in data processing, with an emerging track record of publications in peer-reviewed, international scientific journals and conferences, appropriate for the candidate’s career stage.
