The Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy (POP) and the Center for Drug Evaluation and Safety (CoDES) at the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL, USA) seek candidates for postdoctoral and PhD positions in clinical and pharmaceutical applications of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Candidates will work on developing novel NLP methodology on clinical text data and Electronic Health Records, to answer important questions about clinical and pharmaceutical outcomes.
The successful candidates will support the University of Florida’s vision to become a national leader in the application of AI. This vision is supported by a $70 million initial investment and implementation of the most powerful AI supercomputer in higher education in the world, which will elevate the university’s reach and impact in research, teaching, and economic development.
Applications are now being accepted for both positions. The postdoctoral position is available immediately, and the PhD position will begin in Fall 2022.
