The University of Manchester invites applications for one Research Associate in Natural Language Processing/Text Mining to undertake research in the area of natural language processing with emphasis on fact checking and verification for health applications. The post is available immediately and will be tenable on a fixed term basis until 31st July 2022. The candidate will be hosted at the National Centre for Text Mining (http://www.nactem.ac.uk<http://www.nactem.ac.uk/>), School of Computer Science, located at the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology (http://www.mib.ac.uk<http://www.mib.ac.uk/>).

You will join the National Centre for Text Mining, a leading centre in text mining. You should have a PhD or about to complete a PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science with an emphasis on Natural Language Processing, good knowledge of graph-based NLP, excellent programming skills to allow implementation of new NLP algorithms and a track record of publications in conferences and journals.

SALARY - £32,816 to £34,804 per annum  (depending on experience)
