A fully funded position as PhD Research Fellow in Natural Language Processing is available at the Language Technology Group (LTG) at the Department of Informatics, University of Oslo (UiO), Norway. This PhD position is a part of the machine learning program at dScience - Center for Computational and Data Science at the University of Oslo (https://www.uio.no/dscience/). The research focus of the position will be on linguistically informed inductive biases in training large language models.
The fellowship period is 3 years. Candidates may be offered one additional year: the 4-year position then entails a compulsory workload of 25% that may consist of teaching and supervision duties.
The position presupposes a Master’s degree in Natural Language Processing, or in Computer Science with a specialization in NLP The closing date is April 12th, 2021. Starting date no later than October 1, 2021.
