[Corpora-List] Research position in Natural Language Processing

The Speech and Language Technology group of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence located in Berlin offers a researcher/PhD position in biomedical text processing. This project is part of the BIFOLD program (https://bifold.berlin/), where research groups conduct fundamental research on a wide range of topics concerning foundations and methods of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

*Your tasks: *

The candidate will develop (neural) information extraction methods to detect adverse drug reactions across different languages and text sources. This research is co-mentored by the ILES group of the Computer Science Laboratory for Mechanics and Engineering Sciences (LIMSI, CNRS, Université Paris-Saclay) located in Orsay, France (https://www.limsi.fr/en/research/iles/). Regular meetings will be held and at least one longer stay (up to one year) at LIMSI is envisioned. This research brings the opportunity for a joint PhD program between TU-Berlin and Université Paris-Saclay.

*Your qualifications:*

* A completed Masters degree (or equivalent qualification) in Computer

Science, Computational Linguistics, or a comparable field

* Good knowledge of and preferably hands-on experience with natural

language technologies (tools and libraries)

* Experience in machine learning or neural networks is highly desirable

* Ability to efficiently familiarize yourself with new tools and topics

* Team player, result-driven, highly self-motivated

* Very good English language skills (written and spoken)

* Knowledge in either German or French language
