I'm forwarding an announcement of two open positions (postdoc or Phd) in Göttingen (***application deadline: 31.8.2020***). These are research-oriented positions in Computational Humanities (in the widest sense) and the successful candidates will be given quite a bit of leeway in developing and pursuing their own research ideas in collaboration with other researchers at the intersection of computing and text/language/image/object analysis.
So if you have a technical background (NLP, Computer Science or similar), have always been interested in interdisciplinary research and would like to join a friendly team of enthusiastic and open-minded researchers from a variety of backgrounds, this job might be for you!
The official contact person for these ads is Prof. Martin Langner (martin.langner at uni-goettingen.de) but if you have specific questions relating to the NLP or Computational Humanities aspects, you can also email me (Prof. Caroline Sporleder, caroline.sporleder at cs.uni-goettingen.de).
