The post-doctoral researcher is expected to take an active role in the research activities of Prof. Schlangen’s research group. * Full time position, TV-L 13 Ost payscale.

* The position carries a teaching load in the Computational Linguistics BA and/or MSc. (Four hours per week in the semester.)

* Open until filled, with reviewing of applications to start July 15th.

* Requirements: PhD in relevant field (in hand by start of contract); good programming skills; experience with current methods & good writing skills, as evidenced by publications in relevant venues; experience with interactive systems, speech, video, vision, etc. a plus; German skills not required, but a plus.

* The Department of Linguistics at the University of Potsdam is a great place with many research activities (collaborative research center in linguistics; part of the University’s “designated research focus” on cognitive science); popular CL BA and MSc; well established contacts with NLP industry in Berlin / Potsdam area.

* Potsdam and the general Berlin/Potsdam metropolitan area is a great place to live.

To apply, send a) a statement of research interests, b) a CV with a list of publications, code repositories, etc, c) the names of references, to David Schlangen, by email.

#### Research Assistant / PhD Student (m/f), 3 Years

This position (wissenschaftliche(r) MitarbeiterIn, 75% TV-L 13 Ost) comes with a small teaching load (3 hours per semester), but is mostly a research position offering time to work towards a PhD, on a topic relevant to the research interests of the group. (See <http://clp.ling.uni-potsdam.de>.)

The ideal candidate has an excellent degree in a related field (Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, Cognitive Psychology), strong programming skills, strong writing skills, intellectual curiousity, and the ability to carry a research project through.
