The NLP group at the Computer Science Department of Brandeis University is recruiting PhD Students to work on an NSF-supported collaborative project entitled “Building a Uniform Meaning Representation for Natural Language Processing”, a collaborative project between Brandeis University, University of Colorado, and University of New Mexico, starting in the fall 2019. The project aims to develop a cross-linguistically valid meaning representation as well as machine learning techniques to parse natural language text into this meaning representation. Prospective students need to have strong mathematical foundations and good programming skills, as well as a strong interest in natural language, and ideally have prior training in computational linguistics. The student will be under the supervision of Prof. Nianwen Xue, in collaboration with Professors James Pustejovksy (Brandeis), Martha Palmer (University of Colorado) and William Croft (New Mexico University). Questions about the position should be directed to Nianwen Xue, and applications should be submitted online: https://www.brandeis.edu/gsas/admissions/apply/index.html -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
