The IHEC of Carthage (Tunisia)and the ELLIADD laboratory of the University of Franche-Comté (France),
organize the NooJ 2019International Conference in Tunisia on June 07-09, 2019
THE CONFERENCE INTENDSTO:
— give NooJ users andresearchers in Linguistics and in Computational Linguistics the opportunity tomeet and share their experience as developers, researchers and teachers;
— present to NooJ users thelatest linguistic resources and NLP applications developed for/with NooJ, itslatest functionalities, as well as its future developments;
— offer researchers andgraduate students two tutorials (one basic and one advanced) to help them parsecorpora and build NLP applications using NooJ;
— provide an occasion topresent and discover the recent developments of NooJ itself (v5).
TOPICS OF INTEREST
— Linguistic resources:Typography, Spelling, Syllabification, Phonemic and Prosodic transcription,Morphology, Lexical Analysis, Local Syntax, Structural Syntax, TransformationalAnalysis, Paraphrase Generation, Semantic annotations, Semantic analysis,Description of rare and endangered languages.
— Digital Humanities: CorpusLinguistics, Discourse Analysis, Literature Studies, Second-Language Teaching,Narrative content analysis, Corpus processing for the social sciences.
— NLP applications: textparsing, text generation, text annotation, paraphrase generation, BusinessIntelligence, Machine Translation.
SUBMISSION: We invite the submission ofabstracts in English until 17 January 2019.
The abstracts should containthe title, name, institution and email of the author(s). Abstracts should notexceed one page (length between 300 and 600 words, references not included) andshould be sent by email to “nooj2019 at gmail.com”.
The scientific committee willreview all proposals and authors will be given notice of acceptance of theirpapers no later than 01 March 2019.
Abstract submission: 17January 2019
Notification of acceptance: 15February 2019
Early Registration: until 15March 2019
Late Registration: after 15 March 2019
The camera-ready versions ofthe abstracts should be submitted electronically in an open format (DOCX, ODT).The deadline for the submission of the final version of abstracts is 30 March 2019. All camera-ready abstracts will be inserted in the “NooJ 2019 Book ofAbstracts”.
After the conference, theProgram Committee will select a number of presented papers for publication inthe “Communications in Computer and Information Science” series of SpringerVerlag.
