as announced earlier this month, a team from the ADAPT Centre at Dublin City University is currently conducting a survey about the participation in and organisation of shared tasks in NLP. This is a follow up of a paper we published about ethical considerations on shared tasks <http://aclweb.org/anthology/W/W17/W17-1608.pdf> and *the ultimate aim is to learn from each other and share this knowledge with the NLP community*. The survey has been approved by the Research Ethics Committee at DCU.
Shared tasks and evaluation campaigns are very popular in Computational Linguistics these days and surely many of you have experiences that would be very valuable. The survey is completely anonymous. If you only reply to the questions without adding any comments it takes maximum 10 minutes to complete. It may take a bit longer if you share your valuable experience!
So far we have over 160 replies and we will be closing the survey by the end of this week. Therefore, do not be left out and have your say! (if you are one of the respondents, THANK YOU!).
