I’m working on a project on modeling condescension in language with colleagues at Stanford (with Yulia Tsvetkov, Vinod, Prabhakaran, and Rob Voigt). Unfortunately, academia is not immune to people making condescending comments to one another and many of us have experienced these at some point in time. However, we were hoping to learn from these experiences about what types of condescension people encounter and how condescension is communicated.
I’d be incredibly grateful if you would share your experiences in this anonymous survey we put together: https://goo.gl/forms/VEePiLaRmaUqWmPZ2 .
If you have any comments or thoughts on the issue, please feel free to get in contact!
Thanks in advance for your help!
David (also on behalf of Yulia, Vinod, and Rob)
