Dear all,

the Institute for Specialised Communication and Multilingualism of the European Academy of Bozen/Bolzano (Eurac Research) in Italy is interested in hosting Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellows (IF) and invites potential applicants to a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Week organized the 16-18th May 2017.

In order to prepare a successful application with interested researchers, Eurac Research, as a future host, is organizing an Eurac Research Marie Skłodowska-Curie Week. Over the course of the workshop, candidates will work on the project proposal with experienced researchers from Eurac Research, get detailed information from MSC-IF fellows, and are trained by an MSC evaluator on the does-and-don'ts of the proposal phase.

The deadline for application to participate is 15.03.2017. Please visit the event website <http://www.eurac.edu/msc-week> for details on how to apply. Researchers interested in participating are encouraged to directly get in touch with us, via email <mailto:communication.multilingualism at eurac.edu>.

The Institute for Specialised Communication and Multilingualism is especially inviting applicants interested in Learner Corpora, Digital Humanities and Crowdsourcing, Terminology, Specialized Translation and Multilingual Knowledge Management.

With regards to Learner Corpora, the Institute is a center of reference in terms of linguistic research approaches, infrastructure and development questions, as well as networking. Among other things, the Institute will be organizing the 2017 edition of the LCR conference <http://lcr2017.eurac.edu/>.

Regarding Digital Humanities, the Institute is looking to strengthen joint efforts with local and regional institutions (e.g. libraries), following on a path started with the OPATCH project <http://www.eurac.edu/en/research/autonomies/commul/projects/Pages/projectdetails.aspx?pid=11263> and continued by the DI-OSS project <http://www.eurac.edu/en/research/projects/Pages/projectdetail4262.aspx>. The Institute is also actively working towards its involvement in the CLARIN-IT initiative <http://www.clarin-it.it>.

As regards Crowdsourcing, the institute is actively working on the combination of Crowdsourcing and Language Learning for the purpose of mass producing language-related datasets and language learning material. In that perspective, the institute submitted as main proposer the newly funded COST action enetCollect <http://www.cost.eu/COST_Actions/ca/CA16105> (European Network for Combining Language Learning with Crowdsourcing Techniques)

Regarding the topics of Terminology, Specialized Translation and Knowledge Management, the Institute is striving to become a reference center for the local private and public organizations. Currently, it consults the local administration on legal terminology (ConsTerm project <http://www.eurac.edu/en/research/projects/Pages/projectdetail3911.aspx>) and publish the results of our terminology work in the bistro<http://bistro.eurac.edu/>database <http://bistro.eurac.edu/>.The institute also worked on the revision and translation of e-learning modules on safety at work (E-Learning Safety at Work project <http://www.eurac.edu/en/research/projects/Pages/projectdetail3914.aspx>) and consult local SMEs in managing aspects related to multilingualism (PensPlan project <http://www.eurac.edu/en/research/projects/Pages/projectdetail4157.aspx>).

Other subjects relevant to the institute are also very welcome. More information about the Institute and its projects is available on its website <http://www.eurac.edu/en/research/autonomies/commul/>.

Please kindly distribute this information to researchers who could be interested in this opportunity. Best regards,

Lionel Nicolas
