The ILES group at LIMSI is inviting applications for two PhD studentships funded by the European project MIROR: "Methods in Research on Research"

Keywords: Natural Language Processing, BioNLP, information extraction, text classification, machine learning

Start Date: October 2016, for a three year program

Location: LIMSI-CNRS, Orsay (Paris-Saclay), France with research stays at partner labs (Amsterdaam, Oxford)

Requirements: * Masters degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics or related field completed within the past four years * understanding of methods in machine learning and computational linguistics * interest in acquiring knowledge of the biomedical domain, if no prior experience with the domains of clinical research or medicine * good communication and writing skills * applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in France for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the recruitment. Short stays such as holidays and/or compulsory national service are not taken into account.
