Call for Participation

  LREC 2016 Workshop on Quality Assessment for Text Simplification (QATS)                                  http://qats2016.github.io/index.html

=== Description ===

This workshop aims to bring together researchers interested in all aspects of evaluation of automatic text simplification (ATS) systems, including automatic, human, and user-focused evaluation. It addresses the current problem in the text simplification community that there are no common standards and evaluation methodologies which would enable fair comparison of different ATS systems.

Given the close relatedness of the problem of automatic evaluation of ATS system to well-studied problems of automatic evaluation and quality estimation in machine translation (MT), the workshop also features a shared task on automatic evaluation (quality assessment) of ATS systems.

=== Programme ===

  We are pleased to announce the invited talk by Advaith Siddharthan: "Is Automatic Text Simplification Useful?"    The workshop also features presentations of the papers accepted for the general track and presentations of the systems which participated in the shared task.

  Additionally, there will be a Round Table Discussion led by the invited speaker, workshop organisers, and presenters of all accepted papers.

  The full programme of the workshop can be found at:

  === Registration ===

  The registration for the workshop can be done via LREC website:

  We look forward to seeing you in Portorož!
