The traditional organizers of ConsILR invite you to participate this year at the 11th Interhantional Conference of the Consortium for the Informatization of the Romanian Language. This event, part of our annual series of academic conferences, will take place at the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iași between 26th and 27th November 2015. Attendance to the event will also be possible by video conference.
The goal of the conference is to provide a forum for researchers to discuss more focused research questions and challenges in an interactive atmosphere. Although focused on the development of new language technologies for the Romanian language, the ConsILR 2015 conference will also accept proposals presenting language-independent tools, as well as instruments, methods or resources which can be adapted for the Romanian language.
*Topics of interest* - developing original or annotated, textual or colloquial linguistic resources for the Romanian language; - challenges in creating representative Romanian corpora; - developing lexicographic collections in electronic format for the Romanian language; - linguistic technologies applied to the Romanian language and/or to other languages (but emphasizing their applicability for the Romanian language); - achievements in theoretical linguistics applied to Romanian language technologies; - creating, completing, annotating and using resources and multilingual thesauri with specific reference to Romanian; - alignment of different multilingual resources to the Romanian ones; - applications of aligned multilingual resources to Machine Translation, Information Extraction, Word Sense Disambiguation, Semantic Web etc; - language independent linguistic technologies, which can be extended for the Romanian language; - research projects on the development of resources and technologies focused on the Romanian language.
Proposals, in English, must be between 8-10 pages, and should be electronically submitted at https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=consilr2015. Earlier submission of an abstract of the paper (on the same platform) is appreciated, thus informing the organizing committee upon the desire to participate at the conference.
All submitted manuscripts will pass through a peer review process. The submitted papers should not have been previously published or being under consideration for publication elsewhere. All accepted papers will be published in the ConsILR Proceedings. Selected best papers of ConsILR 2015 will be considered for publication in a journal with Impact Factor.
