Dear all,

Institute for Logic, Language and Computation at the University of Amsterdam has a vacancy for an assistant professor in Computational Linguistics (5-year position). The deadline (14 September) is rapidly approaching. See the formal information below.

ILLC <http://illc.uva.nl> and UvA as a whole <http://isla.science.uva.nl/> are very active in CL/NLP. Within ILLC alone there are over 25 members (faculty, post-docs and PhD students) specializing in the area. This number more than doubled in the last years.

Additional (informal / non-binding) clarifications to the formal ad <http://www.uva.nl/en/about-the-uva/working-at-the-uva/vacancies/item/15-296_assistant-professor-in-computational-linguistics.html> based on some questions we received: -- speaking Dutch is a plus but not a strict requirement -- Keyword "language theory" in the ad may not have been the best choice (e.g., statistical NLP people are very welcome to apply)

Best,

Ivan
