*Monday 10 August 2015, Herstmonceux castle, UK*
The event is an opportunity for advanced users of the Sketch Engine and others interested in corpus NLP and corpus lexicography to keep abreast of new functionality, compare notes on how the tool can be used to greatest effect, and to discuss problems and possibilities with the development team. It follows on from successful events in Bolzano, Italy (2014), Tallinn, Estonia (2013), Brno, Czech Republic (2012), Brighton, UK (2011) and Ljubljana, Slovenia (2010). Again, we anticipate the programme being a mixture of submitted abstracts and presentations from the Sketch Engine team.
The workshop is co-located with and immediately before eLex 2015 <http://elex.link/elex2015/>. See the main conference website for details of venue, accommodation and registration.
This year's workshop will be dedicated to the memory of Adam Kilgarriff, the founder of Sketch Engine, who died on 16th May this year, to recall the paradigms he was building the system on, and to give insights on further development of "Sketch Engine after Adam". Presentations focusing on broader context and historical development of the research areas influenced by Adam & Sketch Engine are most welcome.
*Call for abstracts*
The deadline for submitting abstracts (max 500 words) is now 15 July 2015 Authors will be notified of acceptance by 20 July 2015 correspondence to be emailed to skew at ske.li
