[Corpora-List] Teaching Fellowship in English Linguistics at UCL

The English Department at UCL seeks to appoint a full-time Teaching Fellow in English Linguistics for a two-year period starting 1 September 2015. The successful candidate will be based in the Survey of English Usage, and will work on the Englicious project, a web-based platform designed for teachers of English at primary and secondary schools to help them teach English grammar according to the specifications of the National Curriculum (see www.englicious.org<http://www.englicious.org/> and www.ucl.ac.uk/english-usage<http://www.ucl.ac.uk/english-usage>). We seek to enhance and expand the Englicious website, and to create professional development courses. The successful candidate will also be teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate courses in several areas of English Linguistics, mainly English Grammar, but also English in Use, English words, Research Methodology, and so on. In addition, they will undertake the normal duties of teaching administration (such as course convening, the supervision of postgraduate theses, and so on). Applications are invited from candidates with a proven teaching record in English linguistics at higher education level. Candidates should also have a detailed knowledge of English grammar as well as demonstrable expertise in applying linguistics to English language teaching. A knowledge of Key Stages 1-5 of the 2014 National Curriculum in English and classroom experience of English language teaching at primary and/or secondary school is desirable.
