January 31 - February 6, 2015, Shanghai, China

WSDM is one of the premier conferences covering research on search and data mining on the Web. The Eighth International WSDM Conference will take place in Shanghai, China during January 31 – February 6 , 2015. WSDM publishes original, high-quality papers related to search and data mining on the Web and the Social Web, with an emphasis on practical yet principled novel models of search and data mining, algorithm design and analysis, economic implications, and in-depth experimental analysis of accuracy and performance.

Please visit the WSDM 2015 schedule at http://www.wsdm-conference.org/2015/schedule/. We are looking forward to your participation!

This year program features a wide range of exciting talks and events. In addition to the main conference, we are delighted to have keynote talks, practice and experience talks, workshops, tutorials, and winter school lectures. These are carefully organized by the WSDM 2015 committees and will give you great exploration in the related research fields. These include the following.

Winter School Lectures

Winter school aims at promoting research on web search and data mining, as well as introducing the fundamentals and advances of related fields:

-- Four distinguished researchers, Jianfeng Gao (Microsoft Research), Noah Smith (Carnegie Mellon University), Jure Leskovec (Stanford University),

and Eric Xing (Carnegie Mellon University) will give lectures.

-- Research topics related to web search and data mining, including deep learning, natural language processing, social network, and machine learning platform,

will be discussed.

-- The winter school will be held at Shanghai Jiaotong University (Shang Yuan 500, located at 800 Dongchuan Road) on Jan 31 – Feb 1, 2015

-- Students, researchers, and industry practitioners are welcome to attend the winter school. Note that registrations must be made in advance.

Due to space limitation, we will only accept the first 200 applications.
