The purpose of the event is to bring together IP software users, vendors, developers and researchers to discuss the latest developments in all kinds of software which can be used to process Intellectual Property. The event includes a conference and vendor exhibition which will be open during the entire conference.
Intellectual property is often difficult to value and exploit, and requires constant vigilance to protect. The complexity of legal procedures and enormous amount of information processing involved in any IP-related work make software tools indispensible in operative pursuing practical strategies for protecting and exploiting all aspects of intellectual property.
A great number of excellent software tools on many aspects of intellectual property handling are already available, but there are issues to focus on. These involve matters like integration of IP software into a company's workflow for more operative administering and management, higher quality tools for search, examination, translation and composition of patents, customized systems that would enable both expert and non-expert users navigate IP documents pertinent to their specific needs and extract information of interest without reading the whole patent disclosure.
† Topics of interest include, but are not limited to †
Economic aspects of IP software Software for
