Introtur topptur â weekend trip Friday 28^th to Sunday 30^th of January  Difficulty: 2 out of 4 Tour guides: Timo and Alida  Description: Have you ever dreamed of endless powder snow and cutting fresh lines in untouched terrain? Do you have some experience with cross country or alpine skiing but never tried Randonnée skis? Hopefully this trip will be the perfect place to start! This is a randonee/topptur basics weekend where we will be focusing on all the essentials of backcountry skiing. The goal is for you to get familiar with the equipment, basic avalanche assessment and rescue, clothing etc. We will go at a slow pace, so everybody feels comfortable, and the plan is to do 2 fairly easy trips while training on avalanche assessment and proper use of necessary equipment. We meet on Friday at 16:30 and drive to Mjølfjellet where we have booked a flat/cabin. Once we have settled in, we prepare common dinner and get started with some theory that weâll need the next two days. On Saturday, we do an easy trip and some practical avalanche training close to the cabin. In the evening, we will have another common dinner and a good time in the cabin. On Sunday, before we leave this mountain area, weâll go on a longer trip so that you get the full feeling of being on topptur. If the weather is good and the snow conditions are okay, we will try to reach a top. We plan to be back in Bergen Sunday evening, approximately 19:00. We donât expect you to be an expert in handling the deep snow, however you need to be in decent shape, and it mustn't be your first time on skis. We look forward to sharing our passion and hopefully we get two beautiful days in the mountains. Alida and Timo  FerdarÃ¥d (Compulsary trip meeting) It is mandatory(!) to participate in the trip meeting on Wednesday 26.01.2020 at 17:30 at the Student centre.
