Both positions are connected with the project "Syntactic Parsing for Synthetic Languages", financed by the Swedish Research Council, which aims at developing better methods for syntactic parsing of synthetic languages, that is, languages with rich morphology (and often free word order). The methods explored are primarily based on dependency representations in combination with statistical learning.
