A research associate/post-doc position is available at Carnegie Mellon University-Qatar in a 3 year project funded by Qatar National Research Fund titled "A natural language processing-based active and interactive platform for accessing English language content and advanced language learning". This is a joint project with Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. The position requires expertise in (English) natural language processing, substantial programming experience and familiarity with one or more of areas such as summarization, question generation, question answering, sentence compression/simplification, paraphrasing etc. Candidates with relevant background and with PhD or Master's degrees in Computer Science in CS or Computational Linguistics are encourage to apply.
