I suggest two response for your questions: 
1) Some ambiguities still cannot be solved. For example, the sentence 他教自然 can be tagged by two ways: 
● 他P 教V 自然 N
● 他 P教 V 自然 NPR 
The word 自然 can be a noun and a proper noun. 
 
2) The sentence 一件 包装 精美 的 礼品 is a NP whose structure is [[一M 件Q [包装 V [精美A 的 DE 礼品N]]]] NP. So, in this cas, the word 包装 should be tagged as verb.
